Electricity sales to industries were down 5.6% y.o.y. to 214 G.W.h in September and in the first nine months of last year it was down by 10.6% y.o.y. to 1,809.8 G.W.h.
Meanwhile electricity generation in the first 10 months of last year was down 1.3% y.o.y. to 8,185 G.W.h., but in October it picked up by 3.9% y.o.y. to 856 G.W.h.
Furnace oil sales in October increased by 4.8% y.o.y. to 87,000 metric tons (m.t.s) and in the first 10 months of last year it increased by 25.3% y.o.y. to 1,006,000 m.t.s. (Source: Central Bank of Sri Lanka)
